Currently we are hiring Data Engineer role fo a client located in Bratislava. The Data Engineer supports a number of different data functions including the creation of models, data quality and data issue management. The Data Tower is aligned with
the Data Team under the Chief Data Officer. The team works closely with many other teams across the organisation and is responsible for serving data through the Data universe.
Your Tasks:
• Building end-to-end technological solutions for the Data Tower
• Understand requirements of teams looking to engage with Dataiku
• Develop prototype solutions to meet these requirements
• Ensure the creation of robust, production-ready solutions using Dataiku
• Build dashboards and reports in Power BI for stakeholders in the wider
business
• Use a DevOps methods to develop, test and deploy solutions
• Develop expertise in the software and platforms used by the data team such
as; Dataiku, Sigma, Snowflake and Power BI
• Keep up to date on the latest technological developments and advise the
wider team and organisation on these developments as necessary
• Work within the constraints set down by the wider technological environment
Experience Required:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data engineer, working in programming,
data transformations, and data warehousing
Your skills:
• Strong programming skills using Python, SQL or R and knowledge of SQL
databases
• Ability to translate requirements into robust processes using software and
code
• Understanding and implementation of development and governance cycles to
build and maintain solutions
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions that meet the needs of multiple
different stakeholders
• The ability to design, build, and deploy interactive user interfaces for
interrogating data
• Experience building processes to enhance governance and sign-off procedures
• Project management experience in a fast-moving environment, working within
context and constraints of a wider organisational development framework
• Good communication skills, in particular, able to understand and communicate
complex technical issues clearly to a non-technical audience
