As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining and shaping the architecture of complex technical solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders, project application architects, and tech leads to ensure the successful delivery of projects and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical communication with customers, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., developers, engineers, business managers, and executives).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate these clearly and effectively to development teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Project Architecture Ownership:
- Take strong ownership of the overall architecture concept and design of projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure alignment of the project architecture with business goals, requirements, and constraints.
- Collaborate with development teams to oversee the implementation of architectural standards and practices.
Close Collaboration with Application Architects and Tech Leads:
- Work closely with the Frontend and Backend Application Architects to ensure that the architectural vision is consistently implemented across all layers of the application.
- Partner with Technical Leads to align on technical direction, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure cohesive integration across various components and services.
- Facilitate regular meetings and workshops with architects and tech leads to refine and evolve architectural concepts and solutions.
Requirements and Architecture Discussions:
- Lead and facilitate discussions on requirements gathering, architectural planning, and design.
- Develop and present architectural concepts and solutions to stakeholders, ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in business trips to customers as needed to present technical and architectural concepts.
Concept Development and Documentation:
- Develop innovative and effective architectural solutions that align with the client’s strategic objectives.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation of architectural concepts and decisions to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies that best fit the project and organization.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of the architecture process and practices within the organization.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong experience in solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
- Proven ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders and translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, architecture patterns, and frameworks.
- German language skills are a significant advantage.
- Experience in designing scalable and robust architectures for complex enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips to customers for technical presentations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a proactive and results-driven approach.
